  How to Install Your New 5070-ABE Battery

  Replacing your battery takes less than a minute and requires no tools.

   

  1.Locate and Remove:Step 1.

  Find the battery compartment on the back of your Philips HeartStart AED. Press the plastic tab on the top of the old battery to release the catch, and slide it out.

  2.Insert the 5070-ABE:Step 2.

  Slide your fresh 5070-ABE battery into the channel. Push firmly until you hear a distinct click, confirming the latch is securely holding it in place.

  3.Verify Self-Test:Step 3.

  The AED will automatically power on and initiate a self-test sequence. Follow the voice prompts (it may ask you to press the flashing shock button). Once completed, ensure the green READY light begins blinking normally.

   

  Is your AED chirping? If your unit is making a chirping sound and showing a flashing blue "i" button, press the button. If it says "Replace Battery", installing the 5070-ABE will instantly clear the error and make your device rescue-ready. Note: If you just changed the battery and it still chirps, check your pads—they usually expire around the same time!
